Invector's gloomy ambient made with its rather modest scale of sounds left me very confused. It is simultaneously very effective and very boring. It can be best described as drone-like (though actually nearly completely drone-less!) dark ambient. While not containing definite high or low points, there are many pretty sections along the way, parts that are not disturbed by the material's simplicity. Especially track number five (all of the pieces are nameless) is a fine example of how powerful moods can be created with even minuscule effects. This is not an easy album to approach, for its repetitiveness becomes irritating quite easily. Yet, on the other hand, so do several classics of the field such as Heresy by Lustmord or Nurse With Wound's Soliloquy for Lilith. So if that kind of ambient is your thing, this album is definitely worth checking out. It is, after all, completely free.

Invectorin varsin vaatimatonskaalainen synkkä ambient herättää hyvin hämmentyneen reaktion. Se on yhtä aikaa erittäin toimivaa ja kovin tylsää. Lähinnä tyyliä voisi luonnehtia dronen kaltaiseksi (vaikkakin oikeasti lähes täysin dronettomaksi!) dark ambientiksi. Tietystä tasapaksuudesta huolimatta mukana on paljon kaunista vaikutelmaa, jota sen yksinkertaisuus ei syö. Varsinkin raita numero 5 (kaikki teoksen osat ovat nimettömiä) on hyvä näyte siitä miten hienoa tunnelmaa voidaan luoda aivan pieninkin keinoin. Tämä ei ole helppo levy lähestyttäväksi, sillä se käy helposti hermoille jankkaamisellaan. Mutta toisaalta, niin käyvät monet genren klassikoistakin, kuten Lustmordin Heresy tai Nurse With Woundin Soliloquy for Lilith, joten jos sen tyyppinen ambient-ilmaisu miellyttää, kannattaa tämäkin käydä lataamassa itselleen.
